Agreed. I love my 98 wrangler. These new “Limo” jeeps are corny looking, IMO!

The 4.2 liter with MPFI is better than both.
Old Jeep CJ motor with a modern fuel management system. Low end grunt is way better, Weighed a lot though.

lets see… 200 hp with a 4:1 crawl ratio… yea i totally need 600 horses in that thing!!! the thing was designed to do 2.5mph…. 200 hp is lots!!!!

If you don’t like them then don’t buy them! it’s not like they stopped making the 2-door! Personally I like them better as a 4-door!

in my opinion this car is one of the most beatiful cars that i’ve ever seen here in colombia and is incredible to see all the power that this car has.

i had a 2005 wrangler rocky mountain edition 4.0 straight 6, traded it in for an 2007 sahara with all the bells and whistles, traction control 4wheel disc brake, trac lok limited slip, but the 05 straight six would blister the 3.8 liter v6 as far as power goes…..shoulda had a v8…no punn intended

I had a 1999 Wrangler Sport and just bought a 2008 Wrangler X and the new is overall better. More comfortable ride, nicer interior, and more rugged all around. The only thing I liked better in the 1999 was the metal bumpers, and the seat material. Of course mine isn’t a Rubicon or Sahara which have more toys. But there is no way I’m spending 26K-30K.

i have a wrangler unlimited and i climbed a waterfall

  15. wodanowitz said:

We here only get the 2.8CRD engine for the Rubicon version. It is awesome. Much more torque and less fuel (diesel)consume.

  16. slapindannys said:

are you kidding!! thats one of the things that make it a jeep:0

  17. suzq044 said:

inline-6 engines have more torque, but otherwise, not much difference. Just wait for the Diesel availability ;)

  18. MotoJackal said:

Crossed a waterfall? I gotta have that one.

  19. Z14LDO said:

why does it matter ?? if it had V or inline engine¿

  20. furnaj12 said:

I got an 07 unlimited rubicon and it walked on everything! crossed a waterfall,no problem! It’s the knowledge of the driver on how to use his Rubicon that matters most, the car and the driver should drive as one.

    the v6 is a disappointment… its should be a str8 6

but aside that its pretty cool

  22. nosyiam said:

but the jeep isn’t that big and the low gearing means it doesn’t need much power like they do.

  23. LandWarriorSoldier said:

Yes all wranglers do. Same with removable Doors

  24. g350 said:

do all wranglers come with removable tops?

Pretty cool. I have a TJ and love it, but someday I’ll probably own a JK.
